Polish Ghost Hunter Wants To Take a Ghost Census

Piotr Shalkevitz is a 40 year-old certified ghost hunter that is very concerned about what he believes is a decline on the number of ghosts around the world and he thinks that there needs to be a census done to find out just how bad it is.

The ghost hunter lives in Chrzanow in Poland and he thinks that the reason for the possible decline in ghosts is because they have given up on those of us that live in meatspace. He attributes this also to the fact that they have stopped trying to convince us that we need to prepare for our future trip into the hereafter.

“It might also be that people just aren’t bothered, they see so much on the TV and they just rationalise it all away. They have become immune to messages from beyond.”

Shalkevitz believes that the problem isn’t just local to Poland and has called upon ghost hunters from around the world to join the effort. It is his feeling that we need to have a record of where the ghosts are haunting because it’s only when we have that kind of information can we tell if the number of ghosts is really dropping.

His efforts to start doing something like this is hampered by locals because he says that very few people take ghosts seriously.

Really?

You don’t say.

About the Author

Steven has been around the tech world long enough to see most of the stuff we think of cool happen before which leads to a certain bit of cynicism that has contributed to him being known as the cranky old fart of the Internet. Besides sharing some of the goodness that he finds with you here at 42x you can also find him curating some digital goodness at Winextra (tech type stuff) and Rotten Gumdrops (for your daily dose of WTF).
