Two gay when who were traveling aboard a gay cruise to the Caribbean hosted by Atlantis Events were arrested this week and held by Dominica police after they were caught having sex.

According to reports someone on the docks saw the men having sex and had them arrested for “buggery.”

The two men were eventually freed after pleading guilty and agreeing to pay nearly $900 in fines.

Adding insult to buggery the cruiseship left port without the men, both in their 40s, after they were forced to spend the night in jail.

While Altlantis Events caters to gay men the company’s president hardly seemed concerned with their plight:

“Many countries and municipalities that gay men visit and live in have antiquated laws on their books. The guests’ actions were unfortunate but minor in this case and have no bearing on our overall guest experience.”

Do you think “buggery” is the strangest charge you have ever heard of?
