A lot of fans were disappointed when Amanda Bynes- a former Nickelodeon star who didn’t seem to be heading down a shaky path- was arrested for allegedly sideswiping a cop car and suspicion of DUI.

Bynes’ dad claims the erstwhile teen star blew a zero on the breathalyzer, but it seems Bynes wasn’t too bothered by her legal snafu. According to TMZ, after the actress was arrested and taken into custody, she tried to return with friends to the same bar in which she had been drinking on Sunset Boulevard. The site claims:

“Multiple sources tell us … Bynes and some friends tried to enter the hotel bar at The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd. on Friday night … but the doorman refused to let the actress inside… We’re told hotel staff members were aware Bynes had been drinking at the nightclub at The Standard on Thursday evening … hours before her DUI arrest … and didn’t want to be associated with the actress in case she pulled a repeat performance.”

Of his 26-year-old daughter, Rick Bynes told press Amanda “didn’t have a single drink that night” and insisted that his “daughter doesn’t drink.” The elder Bynes insists that the arrest occurred due to the fact his daughter became “upset and very emotional.”

Since TMZ reports that Bynes was arrested at 3AM, it’s unclear at what time her alleged return to The Standard Hotel occurred. The actress was released on $5,000 bail after the incident.
