Seeing Eye Dog Starts Watching Over Blind Dog With No Human Intervention

Dog Helps Blind Dog Walk

The story of little Tanner could have been a tragic one that ended in euthanasia, instead the golden retriever who was shot and then became blind with bouts of seizures is living a happy life. That’s because Tanner was paired with Blair, a dog he met at the Oklahoma animal hospital.

Speaking to Tulsa’s KTUL a veterinarian revealed that it was Blair who took up Tanner’s needs:

“Blair all of a sudden seemed to realize that Tanner was blind and just started to help him around.”

Blair, typically a very shy dog has taken to being more social while Tanner’s seizures have also slowed.

According to the vet:

“It’s the first time I’ve seen anything like this, the special relationship these two dogs have.”

Given their very special relationship the shelter is hoping that someone will adopt the dogs as a pair.
