Linda Evangelista Says Salma Hayek’s Husband Told Her to Have an Abortion

Supermodel Linda Evangelista has been in the news lately, but not for her work on the catwalk.

The high fashion stunner is currently locked in a court battle with the father of her son and husband of Salma Hayek, Francois-Henri Pinault- proving that sometimes even people with more money than God just resent the hell out of paying child support. Pinault and Hayek were involved and split, and in early 2006, Evangelista became pregnant with her son, Augustin James.

In the same year, Hayek and Pinault reconciled, and also conceived a child, a daughter named Valentina. The pair married in 2009. As Evangelista and Pinault battle in court over child support payments that could be nearly $50,000 a month- enough to cover a full-time driver and 24/7 security for the wealthy tot- ugly details have been revealed, such as Pinault requesting Evangelista terminate her pregnancy.

While Evangelista’s son was born in 2006, Pinault admits he hasn’t been very proactive in ensuring his child is supported. He testified that he did not believe that Evangelista’s requests were appropriate, but that he did not offer financial support prior to her request:

“I received a demand. It was not reasonable, I made a counterproposal… I’m not going to pay money I’m not asked for.”

Pinault maintains that he is willing to support his son, but not his former lover.
