UK Pushes To Block All Porn Sites

Blocking Porn

British Prime Minister David Cameron wants to protect all children in the UK from online pornography and to reach that goal he is seeking an ISP level ban on all pornography sites unless those sites are specifically requested by paying customers.

The move is likely to be attacked by ISPs, free speech groups and teenagers who sneak behind their parents backs to look at free pornography online.

While the move is far from guaranteed David Cameron is expected to meet with various groups in the coming weeks to discuss how such pornography can be filtered out in as few steps as possible.

The move to filter porn comes on the heels of a parliamentary inquiry into the harmful effects online porn has on children.

Cameron says his early talks have been really encouraging and that ISPs must “stop equivocating and stop talking a load of flannel.”

The biggest complaint from opponents of the measure is that currently available content blocking software often blocks out innocent material along with pornography.
