Trailer For The Remake Of 'Red Dawn' Hits The Web

In one sense this is fairly old movie news but since it disappeared almost as quickly as it surface this new trailer for the remake of ‘Red Dawn’ is evidence that the movie will finally make it to the movie theater.

The original movie which starred people like Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, and Jennifer Gray become a bit of a cult favorite after being generally panned at the box office. This new version of the movie has the North Koreans replacing the Soviets as the invading force and stars Chris Hemsworth (pre Thor) and a bunch of other not so well known actors as the Wolverines.

Here’s the synopsis of the movie:

In Red Dawn, a city in Washington state awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky – shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

The movie is slated to finally hit theaters on November 21st of this year.
