Breaking: Neil Armstrong, First Man On The Moon, Has Passed Away At 82
July 20, 1969 was a momentous day in my life. Not only was it my birthday but it was also my Bar Mitzvah and even though there was a big celebration planned my family and I spent our time watching as NASA created a milestone in human history as they successfully landed a man on the moon.
I will forever remember those famous words – “This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” – so it was sad news today when it was announced that Neil Armstrong, the man behind those famous words, has passed away at the age of 82.
His cause of death hasn’t been confirmed but it is suspected that it may be as result of complication from recent heart surgery that he had.
