Demi Moore’s Hospitalization Reportedly Due to… Whip-Its
Ah, whip-its. That brief, mind-scrambling high that is normally associated with giggling high schoolers and less likely to be linked with big name celebrities like the former Mrs. Kutcher, Demi Moore.
Moore was whisked off to rehab after what seemed to be a drug-related incident earlier this week, but it wasn’t coke or pills that the actress reportedly had seizure-like symptoms from using. Sources are reporting that Moore actually got woozy and required assistance after doing whip-its.
For the uninitiated, the name comes from the fact that the nitrous oxide huffed during the act is generally sucked from the nozzle of whipped cream. (So if you hear your teenager laughing and your whipped cream has erectile dysfunction, put two and two together.) TMZ broke the story that Moore’s hospitalization and subsequent withdrawal the Linda Lovelace biopic in which she was set to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem.
It’s not Moore’s first rehab go-around. Back when Kutcher was swinging from the monkey bars, the then-Brat Pack member did a rehab stint for drug abuse around the time of St. Elmo’s Fire. Moore’s publicist confirmed that she is no longer planning to appear in the Lovelace film.
