The next SimCity gets an intro trailer [Video]
I am a really big fan of the SimCity game, well at least up until SimCity 4 I was, so when I heard that Maxis and EA were working on the next version of the game I felt my anticipation level rising. That was until I found out that SimCity was going to have to have an always connected to the web requirement as well as only being available for download via EA’s Origin service; and I wasn’t alone either as evidenced by the uproar that hit the web following the announcement.
All that aside however SimCity is being built around a whole new graphics engine that provide players with a whole new level of interaction with the game as well as incredible detailed city units to build. To give you an idea of what we can expect EA and Maxis have started posting videos of the new SimCity world with this one being the first of what will probably be a deluge of videos by the time the game launches on March 5, 2013.
I’m still not sure if I’ll be willing to fork over the money they will want for the game given the archaic restrictions that EA is placing on the game but after seeing this game video that decision is getting harder to make.
