Morgan Freeman lets us in on the 5 roles that meant the most to him

Morgan Freeman is one of my most favorite actors and I have liked him in just about everything that he has done but I have to admit than none of his most defining roles are ones that I am particularly fond of however in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter he gave us his top five most defining roles.

Lean on Me – 1989: the movie about the school principal Joe Clark

Driving Miss Daisy – 1989: Freeman earned a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination for his role in the movie

The Shawshank Redemption – 1994: a very powerful movie that earned Freeman a Golden Globe, Oscar and SAG nominations

Bruce Almighty – 2003: starred along side Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston where he played the role of God

Million Dollar Baby – 2004: The award winning movie from Clint Eastwood that saw Freeman earn both a Golden Globe and SAG nomination as well as winning an Oscar for best supporting actor.

Of the five I would have to say that my favorite was Shawshank Redemption but I still think my all time favorite of his movies would have to be Along Came a Spider with Monica Potter.
