Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer Confirm Actress is Pregnant
Okay, call us selfish, but the announcement of Anna Paquin’s pregnancy leads us to one question only… is this going to delay future seasons of True Blood?
The actress who plays True Blood‘s central character Sookie Stackhouse is expecting, and given that the fantastic series is based on an equally fantastic series of books in which is it Word of God (Charlaine Harris) that Paquin’s character can’t get pregnant (vamps are sterile), there’s no way on either front Sookie can be visibly pregnant on the show.
The child is the first for Paquin, who is 29, and her British husband (the two married in Malibu in 2010 after meeting on the set of True Blood) Stephen Moyer, 42, has two children from a previous relationship. The baby is due in the fall, and the new season of True Blood begins on June 10th. As the show typically goes for twelve weeks, give or take, that puts the baby’s arrival right at the end of the fifth season, so hopefully fans of the vampire drama won’t be facing any Sopranos-style waits.
