Police Fatally Shoot A One-Armed Wheelchair Bound Man “Armed” With A Pen [Video]
This past Saturday police in Houston Texas were called to a personal care home at around to 2 a.m. to deal with a schizophrenic double amputee by the name of Brian Claunch, who had become agitated after his care taker refused to give the man a soda and a cigarette.
Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said that the gentleman was approaching the police aggressively and was attemptempting to stab them with what they later found out was a pen. Claunch, who had been living at the home for the past 18 months along with two other men, ignored the police officer’s commands and made threats against them and the other occupants of the home as well as trapping one of the officers in a corner.
The incident will be investigated by the HPD’s homicide and internal affairs divisions along with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
