A piece of history up for sale as JFK`s hearse heads to the auction block

The hearse that carried JFK up for sale

One of the saddest days for the United States had to be the day that John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Texas and then when he was buried. During this time part of his sad journey was in the back of a hearse that traveled just three miles to take JFK from the Parkland Memorial Hospital to Dallas Love Field where he was then placed aboard Air Force One.

That hearse is now up for sale as it was recently listed on eBay with a $1 million asking price but so far the highest bidder is still $100,000 of that asking price.

“There is nothing positive associated with this car,” said the Professional Car Society’s Robert Shepard. “It’s a negative to begin with, and it’s a hearse, even if its place in history is well-documented.”
