The RNC To Be Using Behavior Recognition Software At Convention

The RNC To Be Using Behavior Recognition Software At Convention

If you are going to, or are at the Republican National Convention down in Tampa then chances are you’ve been scanned by a technology called AISIGHT from BRS Labs.

The idea behind AISIGHT is that it uses artificial intelligence in conjunction with video surveillance to spot potential trouble makers.

Speaking to Charlotte, North Carolina’s WSOC-TV, John Frazzini, owner of BRS Labs, said: “Very similar to what a police officer would do when walking the beat, our software is walking the beat 24 hours a day, seven days a week, attempting to identify unusual or suspicious behavioral activity that give indications of potential threats or security violations.”

So in other words everyone that falls under the view of surveillance cameras at the convention is going to be profiled, although one has to wonder what parameters this AISIGHT is using to classify anyone as a troublemaker.
